The Arts Tour is coming up again…
I’ve been involved in the Coromandel Arts Tour since 2006. I was part of the group of artists who came together with the vision for an artists’ studio tour — this is what I wrote at the time — “If you’ve already been to Coromandel Town on the Coromandel Peninsula you may think of it as a quaint but sleepy little town. However, up in the bush and tucked away in studios near the town are artists, many who have traveled from other countries to live and work in its stunning scenery and to be part of its creative community.”
That’s still true today — some artists have moved on but new ones have arrived and Coromandel is still a wonderful creative community of which I feel part.
The Tour this year is two weekends in October 2020, so put these dates in your diary (3-4 and 10-11 October 2020), and I look forward to seeing you in my studio (which I’m opening for the first time since 2017!) I’ve got lots of lovely new work to show you and I’m excited to be part of this wonderful event.
Here’s an interview I did for our local Coromandel Chronicle talking about the new body of artwork that I’m making.
