This is a recipe that I come back to each year when the persimmons are ripe. Very simple but delicious – lovely fresh tastes and it goes well with mexican food, roast pork or salads.

Persimmon Salsa


  • ¼ cup chopped coriander
  • 1½ tbsp chopped red onion
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp chopped jalapeno pepper
  • 2 ripe persimmons, peeled and coarsely chopped



  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and stir well.
  2. Cover and chill.
