Object Photography
I’ve been lucky to work with some great NZ artists over the years. Getting up close and personal to world-class pots and paintings is such a privilege.
Photographing a work, trying to capture its ‘soul’ in a photo is deeply satisfying. Lighting is often the key – flat and even for paintings and directional adding drama for a three-dimensional work. Capturing texture and mood is important, and for archiving purposes it is also critical to capture clear accurate photographs that record the condition and detail of a work.

Food Photography
My aim when I shoot food is to make the produce the ‘hero’ of the shot. Good lighting, composition and colour balancing is crucial to making the food look attractive and appetising. I don’t always get to eat the food that I shoot, but I hope that by looking at the finished shots, you and your customers have their mouths salivating!
